Our company was founded in the spring of 1990. Shortly thereafter, we joined the Basement Systems network to provide our customers with a locally owned company with Global Resources. MidAmerica Basement Systems is the exclusive dealer for Basement Systems international, the largest crawl space environment and basement waterproofing contractor network – a group of more than 300 of the best crawl space encapsulation, basement waterproofing, and moisture control contractors in the world. MidAmerica Basement Systems has exclusive access to more than 25 patented products, comprehensive training and support through the international company. MidAmerica Basement Systems is also the regional dealer for Foundation Supportworks Inc., who’s products can restore structural integrity to building and residential foundations, repair settling, bowing, cracked, and damaged commercial, municipal, and residential foundations. Also, if you are in the market for a basement egress window, you’re in luck. We are the regions installer for the Bilco ScapeWel® egress window system.
With almost 20 years of experience with residential and commercial structures MidAmerica Basement Systems® has the skills necessary to assist you in your needs. We have always and continue today to specialize in repair work. We correct the mistakes made by builders and other repair companies along with the fixing common structural problems caused by failure of existing products and by the forces of nature.
Howard Tatge, our Owner and General Manager, has worked his entire career in the repair field and his father worked his entire career in the construction industry. We feel we have superior qualifications to analyze your problem and prescribe a proper solution. We are dedicated to quality and travel as far as Omaha, Chicago and Stratford, Connecticut for training in the proper use of our water control and foundation repair products. We believe there is no room in our organization for "second best”.
We have completed projects in scope from simply repairing a small leaking crack to solve a small-localized basement water problem or we have installed a complete water control system to protect an entire house, supported their failing foundation walls, encapsulated their crawlspace and finished with installing an egress window. In each case, we only prescribe the amount of work we feel necessary to satisfactorily solve the problem, therefore keeping the expense to a minimum. That means you get just what you need to fix your problem and that means the best value for your dollar. We don't use high-pressure sales techniques, we won't try to sell you something you don't need and all or our work is warranted.
