Job Stories From Abingdon, IL
SaniDry Drys Out Watery Basement in Abingdon, IL

Homeowner, Leah was tired of cleaning up water in her basement every time it had rained. She was never happy to check the weather forecast each week. She hoped for clear, blue skies for the week ahead and no more rain because she knew it led to not only a wet basement but a musty smelling one due to the water coming in. She decided it was time to call someone to come fix her basement issue before the issue got worse. She called the experts to help her out, MidAmerica Basement Systems. Design Specialist, Troy was able to come out to Leah's home to give her the best recommendation possible for her basement. He recommended that she would have WaterGuard, PVC, TripleSafe Sump Pump, IceGuard, LawnScape Outlet, and a SaniDry Sedona installed in her home.

The SaniDry Sedona is the world's most powerful dehumidifier for its size. It is able to drain automatically, so this means that there is no need to empty any water buckets from the system. It is a smaller sized SaniDry, meaning that it is able to fit in smaller spaces within a crawlspace or basement. It is a simple system, you are able to set automatic controls for the Sanidry and then leave it and forget about it! The SaniDry is able to keep up with all seasonal changes, ensuring that the damp feeling in your home is not there!

Now, homeowner, Leah can look at the weather forecast with no worry in mind knowing that MidAmerica Basement Systems has taken care of her basement. If you are experiencing the same issue with your basement, please do not hesitate to reach out to MidAmerica Basement Systems. We would be happy to help you!

Waterproofing Leaky Basement in Abingdon, IL

The homeowner from Abingdon was really frustrated because he thought he had already waterproofed his basement, however the previously installed perimeter drainage system failed and allowed for excessive leaks into the space which was causing damage. The team at MidAmerica Basement Systems replaced the old system with the patented WaterGuard perimeter drainage system and not the homeowner has a trusted system working to drain leaks to the sump pump!

Getting a slow stream of water and mud just in one area about 2ft long only when i rains. i've never had water before but with the rain we've had this year, i got it. i have carpet pulled back and padding cut out. i have a split foyer house so only about 4ft is actually underground. basement is finished. i'm thinking i have a crack in my foundation somewhere letting the water and mud in. would like to get it repaired before i put carpet back down so i know the problem's fixed for good. thanks.

Hi, I have a basement dewatering system that runs around 3/4 of my basement and drains into a shower. Due to the recent rains it came into the rooms where I didn't have the trenches along the wall. It was this way when i bought the house 12 years ago and we haven't had any problem until recently. Just wondering how much it might cost to have additional added to the other rooms or if maybe you would know why they only did partial way around the house. Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

We have wall anchors on two walls in our basement. I noticed a large crack on one wall in the basement that I can see light through. This is a wall with an anchor. The front wall (with out anchors) as a horizontal crack that recently closed and a vertical crack that opened up after the horizontal one closed. We are looking to put the house on the market in june and are hoping for a low cost repair.
