WQAD Dry Basement Winner: Denise S. of Monmouth, IL
Earlier this year, MidAmerica Basement Systems put on a contest to give one lucky customer the chance to keep their basement dry for good! Hundreds of contestants enter in hopes that their issues will soon be resolved. Many basements had been quoted and given the best, permanent solution to their problem. For one of those contestants, her basement worries were taken care of. Denise S. of Monmouth, Illinois had purchased her home, not knowing that the basement had a water issue. For years she left the basement unfinished, because she could not afford to address the moisture problem.
When she heard about the Dry Basement Giveaway she entered, not holding her breathe in winning. Design specialist, Joe Sarb had arrived at her home to inspect the situation. Denise had mentioned how she would someday like to finish the area, expanding the livable space in her home. Joe talked with her about adding a foam insulation option to help keep the basement temperatures energy efficient. Installing CleanSpace Liner along the walls will help reduce the moisture levels in the area, and help prevent moisture damage to drywall, if she decided to finish her basement. A patented drainage system, WaterGuard would then be installed along the perimeter of the basement, to collect any water or moisture that would seep in through the walls and floor. A TripleSafe sump would lastly, discharge any water that would enter the basement, leaving it dry and preventing moisture damage to the future finished area.
The day came to announce the winner, and our team couldn’t be happier to reach out! Multiple messages were left on her answering machine, congratulating her on the victory. Denise was in shock, that the first couple of messages, she didn’t believe. She had never won anything with such value to it! She could finally make plans to have her basement finished, and add extra livable space in her home. After 5 years, Denise now has a dry basement and couldn’t be more relieved. Congratulations Denise!
