PolyLevel Leveling Out Your Concrete

As the days start to get warmer and the snow begins to melt, your driveway is going to become more visible. The cracking, discoloration, and deterioration of the surface is going to start to be seen. What about the pesky cracks that have formed too? That problem can easily be taken care of with PolyLevel! What is PolyLevel you may ask? Let's discuss it. Starting with why and when your concrete moves.

When does concrete move?

Concrete can move due to two different reasons. The first reason is poorly compacted soil. Poorly compacted soil can shift around and change as time goes on, causing the concrete to move and fall into voids from the soil. The second reason is the weather. Concrete is always expanding and contracting depending on the season. This causes the soil underneath the concrete to dry out and shrink causing the concrete to fall within the cracked voids.

How does PolyLevel work?

PolyLevel is a great installation that fills the voids under sidewalks and driveways. PolyLevel is injected into the slab through a small, drilled dime-size hole. It helps the slab lift back to level in a controlled way. The hole is then sealed so there is no longer any access to it.

Why PolyLevel?

PolyLevel is waterproof and will not wash out. It will not shrink during excessive heat. It will also compress the soil beneath as it lifts the slab back into place creating a stable base. There is also no disturbance in the concrete and you are able to drive on it in fifteen minutes!

PolyLevel is a great solution to fix your uneven concrete driveway or sidewalk. It is quick and will leave your concrete in great condition. If you are looking to have your concrete leveled, do not hesitate to reach out to MidAmerica Basement Systems. We would be happy to help you out!
