Challenge

From Coralville, Michael R. was troubled with various issues in his basement. He knew that the basement needed waterproofing but he noticed the foundation walls had lost integrity also. He called the experts at MidAmerica basement Systems and spoke to Appointment Center Manager, Jennifer Abel. The team sent Design Specialist, Kiel Marks, to inspect Michael’s home and provide an estimate. After a thorough explanation of what solutions can remedy the issues permanently, Michael gave the team his approval.

Solution

Foreman, William “Bill” Wilcox led the project. To waterproof the basement the team installed a TripleSafe pump system with twin liner, 1/3 hp cast iron primary AC pump, 1/2 hp cast iron AC back-up pump, and UltraSump battery back-up pumping system with charging/control box with alarm, and 120 amp sealed maintenance free battery. This set up also includes 3 CleanPump stands, airtight lid with airtight floor drain, and WaterWatch alarm system. The crew additionally installed IceGuard to prevent floods from frozen discharge line and a WaterGuard sub-floor drainage system to drain wall leaks and ground water seepage. Michael was able to remedy all of his basement/foundation concerns by calling the professionals at MidAmerica Basement Systems!
