Rob recently moved to a new home and was concerned about the untreated crawlspace. The previous owners had tried to make the area moisture proof by installed foam boards along the wooden joists flooring system. Rob reached out to MidAmerica Basement Systems to had the area properly sealed. He was offered a CleanSpace encapsulation. CleanSpace is a thick liner that permanently seals off exposed, damp dirt from the rest of the crawlspace. Sealing off the ground with a vapor barrier has significantly improved the efficiency in the home over the foam boards that were originally installed in the crawlspace.
Britauna was in the process of replacing her old carpet flooring with laminate when she noticed that her slab foundation had begun to sink. She quickly reached out to MidAmerica Basement Systems for help. PolyLevel was offered to lift and stabilize the sinking slab for the home owner. The high-density polymers have a lifting force of 2,000 to 4,000 pounds per square foot, allowing for the structure of the home to be properly lifted.
