Don’t Replace, Get Concrete Patio Repair
Concrete patios can sink and even crack over time. This can cause tripping hazards, making it unsafe for your family to walk on. Aside from safety, it can also be very unsightly and potentially decrease your home’s value if it’s not fixed. If someone were to get hurt on your uneven concrete patio, it would be your responsibility as the homeowner.
If you’re looking for long-lasting, affordable concrete patio repair—you’ve come to the right place. Although you’ll find a wide variety of techniques for fixing a cracked concrete patio, many methods are temporary or require an unnecessary financial investment.
At MidAmerica Basement Systems, we offer Davenport homeowners a concrete patio repair method that is fast, effective, affordable, and permanent.
PolyLevel® versus other concrete patio repair methods
In some cases, your patio may need a complete replacement. If it has broken concrete slabs or a lot of pitting and flaking beyond repair, you may need to replace it. If you simply have a sunken slab that’s creating an uneven surface, we can quickly repair that with PolyLevel®.
Mudjacking is a traditional method for lifting sunken concrete patios, but it is not as effective as PolyLevel®. Mudjacking requires a bigger hole to be drilled into your concrete and a mix of mud and slurry are injected under the slab. Over time, this can wash out and cause your slab to sink again.
What makes PolyLevel® so effective?
Often in residential construction, contractors place concrete for sidewalks and patios last. Before they are placed, it is likely that most of the dirt around the home has been excavated and the soil has been disrupted. This disrupted soil is not as compact and sturdy as the native soil, which can cause problems in the future for concrete patio settlement.
PolyLevel® works by addressing the cause of cracked concrete: unstable soils that lead to settlement. Unlike concrete replacement and mudjacking, PolyLevel® permanently stabilizes the soil supporting your concrete patio. Not only are uneven slabs leveled by the expanding properties of PolyLevel®’s foam, but you also won’t have to worry about the issue repeating itself in the future!
