Bruce H. of Evansdale, IA needed some new egress window wells. His old wells were damp, musty and falling apart. Something had to change. He decided to call MidAmerica Basement Systems. Now, he has beautiful new SunHouse window wells. This increases efficiency, as warm air stays in the window well, helping to insulate the house and decrease the energy bill.
Concrete is a very porous material that allows moisture to pass through and left untreated, can cause mold to grow. Contacting MidAmerica Basement Systems can properly address the issue with installing an effective system to create a vapor barrier between the wall and basement. CleanSpace is a thick liner that is placed along the walls, stopping moisture from entering the basement, and directing it to a WaterGuard system. WaterGuard will than direct the moisture and water to a sump pump where it will be properly discharged from the home, leaving the basement dry.
Sinking concrete has left Frank’s sidewalk unlevel, and allowing for debris and water to seeping between. The steps to his front door had sunk, leaving a larger step up than normal. He reached out to the experts at MidAmerica Basement Systems and ask for a solution to his sinking concrete. He was offered PolyLevel to lift and level to concrete back to normal, and was suggested NexusPro Joint Sealant. PolyLevel helped stabilize the concrete, helping reduce the large gap between the garage foundation and lift the sunken stairs to the porch. The NexusPro Joint Sealant was than applied to the cracks, giving a permanently seal from debris and water. Debris and water no longer threated the ground under the concrete thanks to PolyLevel and NexusPro.

Homeowners Jim and Kitty have lived in their new home for the last two months. When they moved in they knew that they wanted to have the driveway fixed. As the foam hardens the concrete lifts and levels.
During rainfalls, Frank was having issues with water pooling and puddling around his garage’s foundation and along the sidewalk to the front door. Large gaps were also becoming apart due to washouts from the pooling water, causing the concrete to sink even more. He reached out to MidAmerica Basement Systems to have his issue addressed. He was offered PolyLevel and NexusPro Joint Sealant to resolved his issue. PolyLevel was injected under the concrete to fill the voids that had been caused by washouts. This lifted and leveled the slabs, and helped reduce the large gaps between each section, to prevent pooling and puddling next to the foundation. NexusPro Joint Sealant was than applied to all the cracks to divert future water away from the ground that was still present under the concrete, providing a longer-lasting solution for leveled slabs.
Foundation cracks had formed over the years in Jerry’s home, causing water to leak in from them when it rained. MidAmerica Basement Systems provided a solution to his problem. WaterGuard and lateral drains were installed to help prevent water from surfacing and pooling. WaterGuard was installed around the perimeter of the foundation to collect any water that was coming in from the cracks in the foundation wall, while lateral drains were installed along the cracks of the foundation floor. Now the water that enters Jerry’s home is properly directed to his sump pump system, preventing water from surfacing and pooling in his basement.
Bill’s home has settled over the years causing the foundation walls to bow and crack. Due to the cracking, water has starting coming in when it rains. Bill reached out to MidAmerica Basement Systems do address both the bowing foundation and leaking basement. It was proposed having GeoLock Wall Anchors installed to address the bowing walls. GeoLocks will stop the walls from bowing anymore inwards, and because the system can be tightened over time, it can potentially straighten the walls back to their original state. A TripleSafe sump and WaterGuard were installed to address the water issue. WaterGuard helps direct water to the TripleSafe, where it is discharged from the home. Bill now has a stable foundation and dry basement.
Judy had a previous sump pump system installed in her home. Every time it rained, the sumps properly worked, keeping her basement dry, but made a mess outside her home. At the exit point of her sump lines, water was washing out her yard, causing holes and puddles. MidAmerica Basement Systems proposed installing IceGuard and LawnScape to her discharge line. IceGuard prevents the lines from freezing during the winter months, while the LawnScape provides a smooth exit for the water, so it will not cause washouts and pooling. LawnScape also provides a flat surface, allowing for easy maneuvering with the lawnmower and reduces tripping hazards.
Beverly was having issues with water entering her basement every time it would rain. Due to her home being so old, cracks in her foundation was causing water to enter. MidAmerica Basement Systems offered the installation of a waterproof system to provide a dry basement for her. WaterGuard was installed about the perimeter of her basement that collect and direct water to the sump system, preventing water from surfacing the ground. A SuperSump pump was installed to discharge water that would enter the basement, providing a dry environment. An UltraSump battery backup system complimented the SuperSump. The UltraSump system allows for the sump pump to continue during power outages, ensuring that your basement will stay dry.

He never has to worry about his basement becoming wet thanks to his TripleSafe sump pump from MidAmerica Basement Systems. To ensure that his system is always properly working, an annual service appointment is done. At his most recent appointment, it was noted that it would be best if he replaced his old pump with a new one.
