The sunken and cracked concrete around your Lee County home is both an eyesore and a safety hazard. It is also likely to get worse, but we can fix it for you.
Our experts use PolyLevel, a superior polyurethane foam. Small holes are drilled in the concrete, the foam is injected and the expanding foam lifts the concrete. The majority of contractors you will call use mudjacking instead of foam. Mudjacking is heavier, require larger holes in the concrete and does not last as long as PolyLevel. Ryan's basement was flooding a lot. His house is at the bottom of a hill and water was running into the driveway. Since his curbs are level with the street, so every time it would rain, the water would go into his basement. Ryan asked his friend, a former customer of MidAmerica Basement Systems, who to call.
Our system design specialist, Mike Banks was able to reccommend a reasonably priced system that would help solve Ryan's problem once and for all.
Our team, lead by foreman Robbie Stoltenberg, installed a new CleanSpace wall, and a full perimeter waterproofing system.
For Ryan, a damp basement is a thing of the past!
Barbara of Dixon, IL tested her home for radon with a charcoal self test kit. She was surprised to find her radon results came back high. Homeowner Tish E. was having issues with her sump pump system. During heavy rainfalls, she was still noticing water seeping thru her basement floor and walls, which was causing mold to grow and a musty smell throughout the home. She didn’t understand how this was happening when she had a sump pump.
MidAmerica Basement Systems was called in to assess the issue, and quickly found the root of the water and mold problems. The experts had to break the news to Tish that her sump pump tank was too small and couldn’t handle all the water that was coming in to the house. Not only was it too small, but all that water that the pump was discharging out of the home, was pumping right outside the foundation.
MidAmeria Basement Systems quickly got to work and installed a new TripleSafe Sump Pump and WaterGuard on the inside of the home to fixed the wet and mold issue. For the discharge issue, the crew installed IceGuard and a 20-foot discharge line with a LawnSpace finish. Now Tish could breathe safe and live happily knowing that her basement will no longer leak and grow mold.

Mike inspected her situation and proposed she have a TripleSafe, CleanSpace, WaterGuard, and EverLast Window installed. A EverLast Window will provide her with the proper seal from the outside elements, helping prevent water from seeping in the window sill. CleanSpace was installed on the foundation walls to prevent moisture from entering into the basement, and guiding the moisture towards the WaterGuard. WaterGuard is a drainage system that collects water and moisture and directs it to the TripleSafe sump. Now Sylvia has a dry basement and no longer worries when it rains.
Carol was having issues with cracks forming on her basement walls and it drew concern. When the experts of MidAmerica Basement Systems evaluated her situation, it was addressed that her walls were bowing. It was proposed that a GeoLock Wall Anchor system be installed to resolve the problem. Galvanized steel rods are drilled through the foundation and into the ground to be anchored for proper stabilizing support. Once the wall plate is placed over the rod, the Wall Anchors are tightened to exert the precise pressure on the wall. Due to the tightening system, it allows for the wall to potentially straighten over time, while stabilizing the rest of the home.
James and Carol were concerned about a bowing wall in their basement and called MidAmerica Basement Systems to have the wall looked at. During the inspection, Joe had begun talking about the issue with not only one, but three of the basement foundation walls. He suggested installing a Wall Anchor system for the bowing walls. The Wall Anchor is drilled through the wall’s foundation, and is anchored to GeoLocks located on the outside of the home, permanently stabilizing the foundation. The system allows for the walls to be tightened over time, allowing for the potential straightening of the walls. James and Carol no longer worry about their bowing wall issues.

WaterGuard helps collect water that seeps in from the walls and under the floor, redirecting it to the new sump, preventing it from surfacing. The SaniDry Sedona helps keep humidity levels under control, reducing the moisture to help prevent future mold growth. To fix the walls, EverLast Wall Paneling was installed. The panels offer a waterproof material that will withstand leaking walls, so future warping and mold will not happen.
