Challenge

Bill and Linda O. of Galva, IL called MidAmerica Basement Systems because they were concerned about the high levels of humidity in their basement. They noticed mold and mushrooms growing in the basement, and water was getting into the space as well. They knew they had to get something done.

Solution

Shortly after making the call, Bill and Linda met with a MidAmerica Basement Systems' System Design Specialist. Their design specialist conducted an investigation of the inside and outside of the basement, as well as the crawlspace. He discovered that the water problem was likely due to the crawlspace, and ground water near the crawlspace. After the system design specialist designed a custom solution for Bill and Linda, Foreman Justin Reger and his team got to work installing the system.

To encapsulate the wet crawlspace, Justin Reger's team used CleanSpace Drainage Matting and CleanSpace to encapsulate the space. The basement was waterproofed with the patented sub-floor drainage system, WaterGuard. The WaterGuard System drains into the new SuperSump Sump Pump, which empties through a buried discharge line and a LawnScape Well. Bill and Linda's basement is now protected from the frequent water intrusion, and they are very happy.
