Challenge
Dubuque Property Manager, Terri D., needed a permanent solution to the persistent water intrusion occurring in the basement so he turned to the professionals at MidAmerica basement Systems. The team sent Design Specialist, David "Mac" McDaniel, to inspect the property and provide Terri an estimate. With a full understanding of what services would best remedy the issues, Terri decided to go forward with the project.
Solution
Foreman, Justin Bailey, was oversaw the project and the team began waterproofing the basement by installing CleanSpace liner to the foundation walls. CleanSpace is designed to help drain wall leaks, act as a vapor barrier and resist mold growth with an antimicrobial additive. The team then installs WaterGuard perimeter drainage system to drain wall leaks and rising ground seepage to the nearest TripleSafe sump pump. While the team is installing WaterGuard, TripleSafe is also installed. The team installed four TripleSafe sump pumps due to the grand size of the basement, ensuring that the basement will stay dry ALL the time! TripleSafe comes with patented features such as a battery backup sump pump called UltraSump, which is designed to activate in the event of a power outage. Terri is finally relieved of the stresses of a large, leaky basement!
