Challenge

Anthony and Heidi were having issues with their basement leaking during heavy rains. Water would appear along the wall and floor joints, leaving messes for days after the rain has passed. On some occasions, water would seep in through foundation cracks. They were concerned about how their issue would be repaired and spoke with many different contractors on their situation.

Solution

Mac from MidAmerica Basement Systems provided them with a solution that no one else had. Besides the waterproofing solution they needed, he also addressed the bowing walls issue. Due to the bowing wall, water would occasionally seep in through the foundation cracks, causing leaks. To address all leaking matters, CleanSpace Liner was installed around portions of the leaking walls to provide a vapor barrier and help direct the water to a drainage system. WaterGuard was installed around the perimeter of the basement to collect the water and moisture that was seeping in from the walls, and to collect any water that was seeping up from under the floor. Water is than redirect to a TripleSafe system to be properly discharged. To address the bowing walls, GeoLock Wall Anchors and PowerBraces were installed. Both systems offer permanent wall stabilization and the option to straighten the wall back to normal.
