Challenge

Jen was having terrible issues of mold growing in her garage, damaging the drywall and ceiling panels that were installed. She than began noticing mold issues in the finished parts of her basement. All the carpet in the basement had to be torn up due to damp floors causing mold and mildew to grow. Sections of her walls had to be removed, causing great stress for her. She had given up not knowing what to do about her issues.

Solution

MidAmerica Basement Systems came into her home to evaluate the issue. Design specialist, Bryan, had suggested installing a proper waterproofing system, to prevent moisture and mold from collecting and growing. A new drainage system was installed, WaterGuard and TrenchDrain were placed along the perimeter of the basement and garage to collect and direct the water to the TripleSafe and existing sump. An UltraSump was installed to the existing sump to ensure that water will still be discharged from the home even during power outages. A SaniDry Sedona was installed to address the moisture issue, helping prevent the further growth of mold. To repair the damaged basement walls, EverLast Wall Restoration panels were installed. They provide a waterproof material that will never be damaged by water, and will never grow mold or mildew. With a new waterproof system, Jen now has a garage and basement that will stay dry.
