Photo Album: Stabilizing and Waterproofing in a Galesburg, IL Basement

Krisit B. of Galesburg, IL was concerned that water was getting into her basement, but she was especially concerned about her bowing wall. She called MidAmerica Basement Systems, and met with Dan Garner, design specialists, who helped Kristi get her basement back up to standard. The system Dan designed includes nine PowerBraces, WaterGuard, a TripleSafe, and other great products. Kristi is happy to have a dry, stable basement.

Water Damage!

The water damage at the forefront of this image is startling.

TripleSafe Sump Pump with Dual Discharge Lines

The TripleSafe Sump Pump has two man pumps, and a battery back up pump for when the power goes out. Therefor, there are two discharge lines.

Damaged Corner Walls

The cinder block walls are clearly damaged by water at the base.

Damage and Brace

The PowerBrace is helping to stabilize the wall here. The water damage marks the whole wall.

PowerBraces with Offsets

The PowerBraces are stabilizing the bowing wall. They have the potential to be corrective overtime. The braces are fastened with "offsets' which are designed to go around existing obstructions like piping.
