Photo Album: Stopping Constant Water Trickle in Basement for Home in Davenport, IA
Matt and Patrice were concerned with the constant water trickle in their basement and called the experts at MidAmerica Basement Systems. When Cole inspected their situation, he not only offered them a waterproofing system, but a system that would be more energy efficient for the home. WaterGuard and a TripleSafe was offered to keep the basement dry. A SaniDry Sedona was also proposed to control the humidity levels in the basement, helping prevent future mold growth. As for making the basement more energy efficient, ThermalDry Walling was suggested. ThermalDry Wall uses a heat-reflective surface that allows for 97% of the heat to stay in the basement, while preventing moisture and water from passing through the concrete walls. ThermalDry Wall also helps redirect any of the trickling water to the WaterGuard system, keeping the basement dry.
Phase 1
Trenches are dug so WaterGuard can be installed and collect trickling and seeping water.
Covering All Areas
ThermalDry Wall is inspected, making sure all areas will be properly covered when WaterGuard is installed.
Sealing the Walls
ThermalDry Wall is sealed, preventing any water or moisture from seeping to the inside.
Phase 2
WaterGuard and fill-rock are installed to redirect the flow of water to the TripleSafe.
Testing the System
Concrete is laid, and system undergoes a flood check.
Phase 3
Homeowners no longer worry of trickling water, and have a dry basement once again.
