Bowing Foundation Wall Stabilized in Davenport, IA

Richard and Liz were having issues with a basement wall bowing, causing a shift in their block foundation. The lower block has shifted about a ¼ inch in, posing threat to a stable foundation. MidAmerica Basement Systems provided the couple with a PowerBrace solution to stabilize the failing wall. In attempts to straighten the wall and relieve the pressure of the foundation, the ground was excavated. PowerBraces were placed along the bowing wall, and reinforcements were applied. Once the PowerBraces were put in place to permanently stabilize the wall, Sentry Seal was applied to the foundation outside. Sentry Seal helps seal off cracks, aiding in the prevention of water from entering in through any wall cracks.
