Richard and Katie had added an addition 5 years ago and were experiencing wet and mold issues. They reached out to MidAmerica Basement Systems to have their problem resolved once and for all. Design specialist, Wes, discussed that water and moisture was seeping in through the porous concrete foundation, allowing for a damp basement and mold to grow. He suggested having a waterproof system installed, and also suggested checking their Radon levels in their home. CleanSpace was placed along the walls of the basement to seal off the moisture from the rest of the basement, and help direct the water to the WaterGuard system. WaterGuard was installed around the perimeter of the basement to help collect and direct water to the TripleSafe sumps. Two TripleSafe sumps were installed in their basement, one in the older part of the home and the other in the newer addition, to address all areas of the basement properly. A Radon Mitigation system was installed to provide a healthier breathing environment.
