These sinking driveway slabs were a tripping hazard in this Center Point, IA home. The homeowners decided that they should give the experts at MidAmerica Basement Systems a call. Soon, foreman Levi Freund and his crew were raising the concrete driveway. The homeowners are happy that they have eliminated the tripping hazard and now have a smooth ride in and out of the garage.
Center Point homeowner, Gary, called MidAmerica Basement Systems when he discovered his home was affected by toxic radon gas. Gary soon thereafter met with design specialist Bryan Nachazel who helped by custom designing a solution for his home. Foreman Bill Wilcox and his team installed the Premium Radon Mitigation System, and now, Gary's home is safe from the toxic gas.
The concrete slabs under Jack’s stairs to his porch had sunken and shifted so much, it made the stairs unsafe to walk on, making it necessary for him to remove the stairs to prevent anyone from walking on them. His main concern was how much it was going to cost him to have it torn up and replaced. He was than introduced to the alternative solution of PolyLevel from MidAmerica Basement Systems. PolyLevel uses high-density polymers to lift, level, and stable sunken concrete slabs. Smaller than dime-sized holes are drilled into the slabs, and PolyLevel is injected, filling the voids that initially caused the slabs to sink. After the voids are filled, the polyurethane expands, lifting the concrete back to its level, stable state.

Homeowner, Jamie was having water coming into her basement through her cracked walls. It started to damage the basement walls causing yellow stains and blue markings that you could not wash off. She wanted her basement to be fully waterproofed and have her walls back to normal. She thought it was best to have someone come out and look at her basement walls. Design Specialist, Wes from MidAmerica Basement Systems was able to come out and take a look at Jamie's basement. With her goals in mind, he recommended that Jamie fully waterproof her basement. He also recommended that CleanSpace is installed to clean up her stained walls and make them appear cleaner.
CleanSpace is a bright white, durable vapor barrier for basement walls. It is a fast installation and stops water vapor from permeating walls and can also drain wall leaks. It can conform to any type of foundation wall, bumpy, stone, flat, it can be covered! It is also washable, so if a mark or stain does appear it can be wiped off.
Jamie's basement walls now look cleaner and brighter. She no longer has to worry about water leaking into her basement or her walls being stained. The CleanSpace Wall System will take care of it!
Patrick was beginning to notice an inward curve in his basement’s wall. He reached out to MidAmerica Basement Systems for help. During inspection, it was offered that he have a GeoLock Wall Anchor system installed to prevent any future inward movement, and to permanently stabilize the foundation. The GeoLock Anchors are placed in the ground outside the home to provide the appropriate force against the bowing wall to stop the inward movement. The wall anchor system also allows for the system to be tightened over time. With tightening being an option, the wall has a greater chance to becoming straighter over time, reversing the inward bow.
Gene was having an issue with water in one of his properties. He already had a sump pump installed but the tenants were still having issues with water seeping in the basement. Upon inspection, specialists of MidAmerica Basement Systems recommended installing WaterGuard. WaterGuard is a drainage system that helps collect and direct water to the sump pump, rather than surfacing and pooling on the ground. With a proper waterproofing system, the tenants have a dry basement, and Gene has happy tenants.
Jeremy has an older home with basement foundation cracks. During extremely large amounts of rain fall, some cracks have small leakage. To address his issue, Jeremy contacted the experts at MidAmerica Basement Systems. A Polyurethane Crack Sealant was injected into each of the crack, providing a durable, flexible seal. The flexible seal allows for the polyurethane to shift and move with the forever settling and shifting of the foundation. Water no longer seeps into the foundation cracks due to the sealant.
