Richard was having issues with using his patio due to sunken areas that created tripping hazards. He was afraid of how much it was going to cost him to replace the patio until he heard of the PolyLevel solution. Cole, from MidAmerica Basement Systems offered him an effective result that will lift, level, and stabilize the concrete patio so that he will not need to replace the area. Once PolyLevel is injected under the concrete, the voids are filled, and the slab is lifted. The cure time takes minutes, allowing Richard to access the area at his convince instead of waiting for days, even weeks on end for new concrete to set.

Anne was having issue with her crawlspace becoming wet, which than in return made her basement damp. She contacted MidAmerica Basement Systems to have her crawlspace waterproofed. When Chris inspected her situation, he offered her a total crawlspace encapsulation. CleanSpace Drainage Matting was placed along the dirt floor of the crawlspace, and CleanSpace was installed over top and up along the walls of the area, permanently sealing off the ground from the rest of the home. Once the crawlspace was completely sealed off, a SmartSump was installed to collect and discharge any water from the crawlspace. To help address the moisture issue in the basement, a SaniDry Sedona was installed. Anne no longer was a wet crawlspace or a damp basement thanks to help from MidAmerica Basement Systems.

Homeowners Wendy and David have lived in their home for the last five years and have no plans to leave their home. It was very important to them to have a radon mitigation system installed in their home.  Radon is naturally occurring and is the second leading cause of lung cancer in the United States. Radon is important to have installed in your home. The EPA tells us that the acceptable limit of radon to have in your home in 4 picocuries. That is the equivalent of having 4 people chain smoke in your home 24/7. Though the EPA says it is acceptable, however, MidAmerica Basement Sytems feels no level of radon is safe to have in your home.

High Levels of radon in Lanark, IL

Dave was talking to his neighbors and found out they tested positive for Radon. He knew if they have it then he has it as well. So, he tested his home for radon with a DIY carbon test kit and the test came back positive at 29 pCi/L. Concerned about his health and wellbeing he called into MidAmerica Basement Systems for help. Total Crawlspace Encapsulation for Home in Lanark, IL

Leaking, wet crawlspace has caused many issues from homeowners Anne and Gerald. Not only was their crawlspace wet, but mold and mildew had started to grow, and it also left the basement damp. They contacted MidAmerica Basement Systems to have crawlspace inspected, in hopes that a resolution would be put into play. Total crawlspace encapsulation with CleanSpace was offered. CleanSpace is a thick, pool-like liner, that completely and permanently seals off the exposed ground from the rest of the crawlspace. CleanSpace is a vapor barrier that prevents mold growth, and is puncture- and tear-resistant. A SmartSump was also installed in the crawlspace to discharge the water from out of the area, leaving it dry so future mold and mildew cannot grow. A SaniDry Sedona was also installed in the basement to help control the humidity levels.

I'd like an estimate to install 2 egress windows in our basement, including all parts and labor. Do you dig out around the 2 existing windows, or do we have to? Do you cut the concrete foundation? Do you install a drain? Thank you.

Lake Carroll Blvd. in Lanark
In the basement wall there is approximately a 1 foot by 1 foot area that the concrete wasn't poured correctly. It looks like the concrete wasn't wet enough when it was poured. It just looks like small rocks with a lot of gaps between them. It was fine up until last winter. Now the area leaks when it rains. I can send a pic.
