Homeowner, Daniel was experiencing issues with his basement walls. After taking a closer look at them he noticed that one of his walls has started bowing. He decided it was time to call in the experts to fix his problem, MidAmerica Basement Systems. A Design Specialist came out to take a look at his wall and recommended the best solution to fix the problem, Geolock Wall Anchor System.
The Geolock Wall Anchor System permanently stabilizes your foundation wall back to its original position. This is a great solution if the customer has a lot of space behind the basement wall. The Geolock Wall Anchor is installed by placing heavy-duty earth anchors in stable soil under the foundation of the wall, the anchor is then connected to a steel wall plate attached to a long galvanized rod. The rods are embedded in the soil, so they will not be seen. Once the system is installed there is no further tightening needed, but the system can be tightened during dry-seasons allowing the wall to improve and become completely straight over time.
Installer, John was able to come out and install the Geolock Wall Anchor System for Daniel in his home. After the installation was complete, Daniel can now have his basement back and not have to worry about what could have happened if he did not fix the bowing wall!
Homeowner Dennis recently contacted MidAmerica Basement Systems to learn more about Basement Waterproofing. After a full inspection of the inside and the outside of the home, they decided to have a full perimeter waterproofing system installed in the home. WaterGuard is added to all of the exterior walls along with a TripleSafe sump pump. The WaterGuard is similar to a channeling system that moves the water to the sump pump. The TripleSafe sump pump is a three pump system that comes with a battery back up and a WaterWatch alarm. The battery back up is used to keep the system running in case of power loss and the WaterWatch alarm is used to make sure that the water in the sump pump does not get too high and will sound when the sump pump has too much water in it and the pumps cannot keep up.
Homeowner Rick has lived in his home for the last three years in that tie he has had some water issues in his basement. He thought the water was coming from his washer and dryer every time it rained. Design Specialist Troy Hamilton did a full inspection of the inside and the outside of the home. After completing his inspection Troy determined that Ricks; home was in need of a full perimeter waterproofing system. Rick agreed that this would be the best option for him and the life and quality of his home. The full perimeter waterproofing system included a WaterGuard System. A WaterGuard system is underground piping that channels that water out of your home. To install the system first you must dig a trench around the perimeter of the basement. The trench will be cleared out and the WaterGuard system will be placed in the trench. To hold the trench in the proper place it is back filled with rocks. After it is level and in the proper place the system is pave of to make it about of your home without notice. The system will keep water out improving the quality of your home.
Pressure from the ground can cause the foundation walls of your home to bow, causing foundation cracks and weaken the structure of your home. MidAmerica Basement Systems have a permanent solution to stop the wall from bowing, and even reverse the wall over time with GeoLock Wall Anchors. This system uses a steel rod system that is driven through the foundation walls and anchors to the ground outside. The GeoLock Anchors provide the necessary strength and surface area needed for an effective system. Once the anchors are in place, a galvanized steel plate is placed on the inside surface of the foundation, that allows the system to be tightened, resulting in a permanently stable wall that can be straightened over time.
Billy and Terri O. were noticing a large foundation crack and inward bowing in their basement wall. They heard of the many different solutions that MidAmerica Basement Systems recommended for foundation repair and stabilization. A Specialist arrived to evaluate the problem and provide the proper solution. GeoLock Wall Anchors were advised to be installed to support their bowing wall. GeoLock Wall Anchors were suggested because over time, this system can be tightened, and potentially reverse the wall to its original state.

Dan talked to Joe and Trysten about their concerns, and recommended a solution for them that would insulate their basement, and protect their bowing walls.
Foreman Kyle McCarty and his team installed CarbonArmor strips. The CarbonArmor strips are 10x stronger than steel, and made of carbon fiber. They stabilize the bowing wall, preventing further bowing. Then, the team installed Basement to Beautiful Panels. Basement to Beautiful Panels reflect heat back into the basement, and prep the wall for finishing. Joe and Trysten love having their peace of mind back, and warm basement.
Guy and Theresa of Morton, IL called MidAmerica Basement Systems because they were disappointed to find that they had water coming in through the floor and wall joints of their basement. In the past, they had had work done by a different company, but it wasn't quite holding up.
Guy and Theresa met with design specialist Dan Garner. Dan talked with them about their basement concerns, and what they wanted to accomplish. He then designed a custom solution for Guy and Theresa, including the patented sub-floor drainage system, WaterGuard, a TripleSafe Sump Pump and a buried discharge line, as well as a PowerBrace for a wall that was starting to bow. Foremen Kyle McCarty installed the waterproofing system, and foreman Justin Reger installed the PowerBrace. Guy and Theresa are very happy to finally have a dry basement!
The homeowner of this basement in Morton wanted the space waterproofed and wanted to replace the old sump pump. The homeowner reached out to the team at MidAmerica Basement Systems and an expert was sent out to the residence where the basement was inspected and the homeowner was given an estimate, all for free. The project was soon underway. The team installed FlowGuard around the perimeter. FlowGuard is appropriate for thin applications, meaning that the foundation floor is somewhat thinner than average. CleanSpace waterproofing system is fitted onto the foundation walls and traps water/vapor behind the liner. The SuperSump was installed in place of the old, out dated system. The SuperSump comes with an airtight lid, efficient cast iron pump, ClesanPump stand, and WaterWatch alarm that is designed to alert the homeowner of potential flooding in the system.
MidAmerica is thrilled to have helped the homeowner reclaim the space by making it dryer, protected, and healthier!
