Hersh was concerned about the water that water coming in through the basement wall, and then realized it was because of a wall bowing. He contacted MidAmerica Basement Systems to permanently stop his walls from worsening. During his evaluation, Chris offered him the solution of a PowerBrace system. PowerBraces use the wooden floor joist system of your home to properly support the pressure exhorted against the failing wall, without damaging the rest of the home. The patented PowerBrace system also allows for the I-Beams to be tightened over time, which can increase the chances of straightening the walls back to normal in time.

The sunken and cracked concrete around your Peru home is both an eyesore and a safety hazard. It is also likely to get worse, but we can fix it for you.
Our experts use PolyLevel, a superior polyurethane foam. Small holes are drilled in the concrete, the foam is injected and the expanding foam lifts the concrete. The majority of contractors you will call use mudjacking instead of foam. Mudjacking is heavier, require larger holes in the concrete and does not last as long as PolyLevel. Bowing walls can produces many issues in a home. It can produce leaking basement walls, weakens the stability of the home, and if left untreated can even collapse completely. One solution is a PowerBrace system. PowerBraces are similar to I-Beams but offer a patented tightening feature that allows for wall straightening over time. The beams are made of galvanized steel, preventing them from rusting. The PowerBraces are strategically places along the wooden floor joist system to use proper support against the bowing wall, but to prevent damage to the joist system and prevent inward tipping the upper portion of the home.
Michael was having issues with water seeping in three of his for corners in his basement. He quickly contacted MidAmerica Basement Systems to have them address the problem. During inspection, it was suggested that WaterGuard be installed around the perimeter of the basement to help collect any seeping water. After the water is collected, it can then be directed to the TripleSafe sump to be discharged. With the WaterGuard and TripleSafe working together, the basement stays dry, and water no longer appears.
Emily noticed some vertical cracks in her basement foundation, where she was also getting some water. She was referred by a past customer to call the experts at MidAmerica Basement Systems for a free estimate.
After a quick call to the office, an appointment was set up for Mark Kurtz to come evaluate the basement. Mark decided the best solution for the specific foundation problem was to install Power Braces along one wall and Push Piers on the other wall. The Power Braces go along the inside of the foundation wall and not only keep the wall from caving in further, but also begin to push the wall back to its upright position. The Push Piers go along the outside of the wall and are used to fix sagging foundations. The Push Piers are driven deep into the ground to stabilize and lift a home’s foundation back into place. Mark’s solution for the water problem was to install a SuperSump pumping system with WaterGuard along the problematic wall. The SuperSump pumping system will pump the water out and away from the home and the WaterGuard will direct that water to the SuperSump.
Emily is very happy with the experience of MidAmerica Basement Systems. There is no longer a worry of the basement or foundation having any more issues.
