Just want to say Thank You to the guys in the crew . They did a beautiful job keeping us informed of what they were doing and let us know how long it would take , they cleaned it up makeing it look really nice. Thanks Again Guys Great Crew , very nice lady (Tiffany) that we talked to and great intro for Mark letting us know what they were going to do and walked don through everything , then the finish of the basement and they showed don what they did why they put things were they were and what to do now that it is done. Don't put the weight on the water system they put in and the gauge and what to look for and not to do so we wouldn't do anything to damage anything AGAIN THANK YOU GREAT JOB

IceGuard Keeping Water Out in Smithshire, IL

Homewowner, James was having water leaking into his basement, causing it to become wet and damp. This was an issue that has been continuing for a while and he thought it was finally time to have the problem fixed. He reached out to MidAmerica Basement Systems and a Design Specialist was able to come out to James home to take a look at it. One of the waterproofing systems that was installed was IceGuard.

Sump Pump pipes discharge outside of the home, in the colder months pipes can freeze due to the freezing temperature. IceGaurd assures that the discharge pipe will not freeze and still be able to pump the water out of the basement. IceGuard will allow the water to escape even if the pipe freezes so your basement will not flood even with your sump pump running. The system is also designed to self-run meaning no work for you to do.

Sagging Crawlspace Becomes Encapsulated for Home in Smithshire, IL

James was noticing some sagging in his floors and reached out to MidAmerica Basement Systems for help. When they inspected his home, it was addressed that the untreated crawlspace was causing moisture to enter, weakening the wooden floor joist system and making the floors sag. He was offered a total crawlspace encapsulation to seal off all moisture access, and to protect the floors to the rest of his home. Drainage matting was placed along the dirt floor to help collect any moisture and redirect it to a SmartSump to be discharged. CleanSpace Liner was installed along the foundation walls and over top the matting to permanently seal off the rest of the home from the ground. Keeping the crawlspace dry protects against the decay of the wooden floor joist system, making James’ home longer lasting for many more years to come.
