In Cedar Falls, IA, one homeowner discovered that her neighbors radon test came back high. Concerned, she decided to test her own home as well. When she received the levels back above a healthy threshold, she knew she needed to take action. We installed an effective radon mitigation system, as seen in the after photo. This specialized system will reduce the concentration of naturally occurring radioactive gas inside the home, ultimately creating a safer living environment. With over 35+ years of experience, we pride ourselves on protecting our community and prioritizing homeowners well-being. Ready to take the steps towards knowing the radon levels in your home? Our recent project in Muscatine, IA helped a homeowner tackle street creep from the driveway. Continuous pressure from the concrete expansion was a concern. To protect against long-term damage, we installed our trusted Compression Guard system. Notice in the after photo how this engineered expansion joint stands firm, allowing essential movement during seasonal shifts, unlike insufficient original joints. Thanks to our reliable team and proven solutions, concrete now expands safely, safeguarding the driveway, garage slab, and foundation walls.
Martin W. of Hudson, IA was having issues with water still puddling in his basement even though he had a sump pump. Martin called in to MidAmerica Basement Systems to have an expert come and address his water issue. Upon inspection, Martin was told that he needed proper piping installed, so that water could be directed to the sump pump. MidAmerica Basement Systems simply proposed that they install WaterGuard, allowing for water to flow to the sump pump, leaving the basement dry.
Gary was having issues with water coming into his basement, but wasn’t sure where it was coming from. He contacted MidAmerica Basement Systems to have is issue inspected. During inspection, Wes Glasgow, design specialist, came to the conclusion that water was seeping in from the old foundation walls, and suggested the installation of CleanSpace. CleanSpace is a thick liner that provides a sturdy moisture barrier between the wall and rest of the basement. CleanSpace also acts as a water track, directing the moisture to Gary’s waterproofing system.
Homeowner Shashi and family have lived in their home since 2006 and for the last two years have noticed that their driveway and front step were cracking and sinking. Sinking driveways can be a safety hazard and can cause future damage to your concrete slabs and foundation. PolyLevel is used to lift and level concrete slabs.
