Waterproofing Basement and Crawlspace for Home in Tiskilwa, IL

Challenge
Upon inspection, our team discovered that the basement dampness wasn't originating from the basement walls themselves. Instead, the culprit was an untreated crawlspace. Surface water was seeping into the crawlspace and migrating directly into the basement, creating a cycle of moisture and potential structural damage.
Solution
To provide a permanent fix, we implemented a comprehensive solution targeting both the crawlspace and the basement.
- Crawlspace Encapsulation: We installed the CleanSpace encapsulation system to completely seal the area from outside moisture and soil gases.
- Crawlspace Drainage: A SmartDrain was added to monitor for plumbing leaks and safely discharge any water entering the space.
- Basement Waterproofing: To ensure the basement remained bone-dry, we installed the WaterGuard below-floor drainage system paired with a TripleSafe sump pump system. This setup provides three levels of protection against crawlspace overflow and future foundation seepage.
