Jon’s basement had become a source of constant stress. Recurring wall leaks were allowing water to seep into the space, leading to dangerously high moisture levels. Left unaddressed, these conditions threatened the home's structural integrity and air quality. Seeking a permanent solution, Jon reached out to the experts at MidAmerica Basement Systems.
Solution
To ensure the basement remained dry and protected, MidAmerica Basement Systems installed a custom-engineered suite of products:
- WaterGuard® Sub-Floor Drainage: An interior drainage system was installed along the perimeter to intercept wall seepage before it ever hits the floor.
- TripleSafe™ Sump Pump System: For ultimate peace of mind, a TripleSafe unit was integrated to provide three levels of protection, including a battery backup to keep the system running during power outages.
- CleanSpace® Wall Vapor Barrier: To tackle the moisture migrating through the concrete, CleanSpace liner was applied to the walls. This durable, antimicrobial barrier directs wall leaks into the WaterGuard system and prevents water vapor from entering the room.
- SaniDry™ Sedona Dehumidification: To finish the transformation, a SaniDry Sedona was installed. This high-performance dehumidifier automatically monitors and maintains a set humidity level, eliminating musty odors and preventing mold growth.
