Sub-Grade Moisture Diagnostic & Waterproofing Proposal
Challenge
Our specialist performed a detailed foundation audit, examining the floor slab, perimeter seams, and lower wall surfaces. The inspection revealed active moisture penetration occurring along the cold joint where the concrete floor meets the footing.
To permanently control the groundwater intrusion, we designed a targeted sub-grade drainage system tailored to the basement's footprint. The proposal featured WaterGuard® interior perimeter drainage installed directly above the footing to capture incoming water before it reaches the floor surface. Collected seepage would be directed into a high-capacity SuperSump® pump system, complete with a cast-iron pump, airtight lid, and an emergency alarm, designed to safely discharge water away from the home's exterior foundation.
Solution
We presented the homeowner with an itemized proposal, custom layout diagram, and fixed-price estimate. The comprehensive diagnostic gave the client a full understanding of their basement's hydrology and a precise engineering roadmap to resolve the seepage issues whenever they decide to move forward.
