Permanently Stabilizing Bowing Walls in Moline, IL
Challenge
Moline homeowner, Cindy B., was disturbed by the condition of her basement walls after noticing that two of the walls were bowing. Cindy reached out to the professionals at MidAmerica Basement Systems The team sent Design Specialist, Dustin Shepard, to the residence to provide Cindy answers that will permanently stabilize the bowing walls. Cindy really liked that there was a permanent remedy to her problem so she gave the project to the trusted hands at MidAmerica Basement Systems.
Solution
The project was led by Foreman, Peter Hensler. Seven zinc coated PowerBrace I-Beams were installed stabilizing the bowing basement walls. The team also had to customize the system to avoid certain obstacles and to secure an accurate installation. Besides permanently stabilizing walls, the PowerBrace system also has a patented tightening feature that can potentially straighten the wall over time. Because of the teams proficiency, Cindy has now has a safe basement and no longer lives with precariousness or bowing walls!
