Double CrawlSpace Encapsulation Project in Tremont, IL
Challenge
Rich H. contacted MidAmerica Basement Systems after purchasing a home that was built in 1978. He was concerned because the basement had two different crawlspaces attached. Rich decided to get both crawlspaces encapsulated to keep them dry, keep bugs out, and help with his whole-home health.
Solution
Rich met with design specialist Dan Garner. Dan took a look at both crawlspace, inspecting both inside and outside the home. He then proposed a custom solution for Rich and his home.
Dan recommended encapsulating both crawlspaces with CleanSpace Drainage Matting, and CleanSpace. He recommended also installing graphite-infused SilverGlo insulation panels. SilverGlo is a 2 inch thick material that reflects heat back into the space, helping cut energy bill costs. The insulation helps to keep the whole home warmer. Dan also recommended installing a SmartDrain in one particularly damp crawlspace. Kyle McCarty and his team installed the system.
Rich's crawlspaces look great, and are definitely improving the whole-home health. Rich couldn't be happier!
