When a driveway starts sinking, it creates more than just an unsightly entrance—it forms dangerous trip hazards and sets the stage for costly structural damage. A homeowner in Bradford, IL, called MidAmerica Basement Systems after noticing several driveway slabs settling unevenly. Left unaddressed, surface water would continue washing away the soil underneath, causing the concrete to sink further.

System Design Specialist Rob Chismark inspected the driveway, identified subgrade soil erosion as the root cause, and customized a non-invasive repair plan using PolyLevel® Concrete Leveling and NexusPro® Joint Sealant.

Foreman Justin Maddox and crew member Devin S. arrived on-site to handle the transformation without messy concrete demolition. The team drilled dime-sized holes into the sunken slabs and injected high-density PolyLevel foam underneath. As the foam expanded, it filled hidden voids, compacted loose soil, and lifted the heavy concrete back to a level plane.

Once the slabs were aligned, Justin and Devin S. sealed all cracks and expansion joints with NexusPro. This flexible, UV-resistant silicone blocks rainwater from eroding the soil in the future. After patching the tiny injection ports, the crew left behind a smooth, fully stabilized driveway that was ready for vehicular traffic immediately—saving the homeowner time, money, and hassle.
