New Basement Waterproofing System is Installed for New Homeowners in Saint Augustine, IL

Challenge
The homeowners discovered that hydrostatic pressure and surface runoff were compromising the integrity of the basement. Water was seeping through both the perimeter joints and floor cracks, threatening to damage the foundation and limit the home's usable space.
Solution
To ensure the basement remained dry regardless of the weather, MidAmerica Basement Systems designed a custom, multi-tiered waterproofing strategy:
- Sub-Floor Drainage: A combination of WaterGuard and LateralDrains was proposed for installation along the perimeter and across floor fractures. This system is engineered to intercept seepage before it reaches the floor surface.
- Effective Redirection: The drainage network was designed to channel all collected water directly to a centralized management point.
- The TripleSafe™ Advantage: To handle the discharge, a TripleSafe sump pump system was recommended. This high-capacity solution provides three levels of protection—including a battery backup—to ensure the basement remains dry even during power outages or primary pump failures.
