The homeowners of this basement in Monmouth had growing concerns with the integrity of their foundation walls. The team at MidAmerica Basement Systems installed Wall Anchors to permanently stabilize the foundation walls and provide the potential for further straightening over time. The homeowners are much more secure in their basement.
The homeowner from Dixon called the team at MidAmerica Basement Systems because they were tired of tacking water intrusion in their basement. The homeowners explained that they had been experiencing this issue for over 20 years and enough was enough. The team installed WaterGuard and SuperSump pump to address the issue. The homeowners feel great about their basement now!
Danny has always had a sump pump in his basement, but during long, heavy rains falls, he would still get water in the area. He thought maybe it was time for a new sump pump and called MidAmerica Basement Systems. During evaluation, it was noted that his existing pump worked properly, and advised him to have WaterGuard installed. This will prevent water from seeping in from the floors, and will help redirect it properly to the sump pump. WaterGuard is a drainage system that helps collect and redirect water, preventing it from surfacing on the floor. Danny no longer worries of water seeping through during heavy rains.
Tom and Sonja were noticing some uneven areas on their driveway and sidewalk, making it dangerous for them and their guests to walk. They called MidAmerica Basement Systems to have their concrete lifted and leveled. During their evaluation, they were introduced to the new PolyLevel solution. PolyLevel uses a lightweight foam that stabilizes sunken slabs by filling the voids, adhering to the soil, and lifting the concrete back to its desired state. Because the material adheres to the ground, it provides a longer lasting solution than typical mudjacking. Now Tom and Sonja have a leveled driveway and sidewalk once again.
Kathy lives in a home that was built in the late 1800’s, and over the years, the floors of the home have begun to slowly sag. Finally, she reached out to MidAmerica Basement Systems to have her situation handled. Mike looked at her issue and proposed her a SmartJack system. SmartJacks are galvanized steel columns that have a load compacity of more than 60,000 pounds making them ideal for stabilizing a home’s sagging floor. The concrete floor is dug up and filled with tightly-compacted crushed stone to provide the proper weight barring exertion needed for each column. Once the holes are filled, the SmartJacks are installed and cemented down to the floor and connected to the girder system. Each SmartJack is tightened to permanently stabilize the floor, and even potentially lift the floors back to level.
