Concrete shifts and changes over time, it's something no one can control. A homeowner in Muscatine, IA had concrete moving and was looking for an answer to keep it stable. Installing a PolyLevel Compression Guard would take care of all of that! Installing the compression guard will keep the concrete in place and prevent street creep.
Street creep is caused by the seasons changing. When it is warmer out concrete will expand and during the colder months, the concrete will contract back. This will cause a lot of shift in the concrete that will affect the rest of your property. As the concrete moves dirt, rocks, and materials that cannot be compressed will get stuck in the joints causing the concrete to move and push either on your foundation or your garage. A PolyLevel Compression Guard can be installed to keep your concrete from finding other ways to affect your home and keep your concrete looking nice.
Now the homeowner no longer has to worry about their concrete affecting the rest of their home thanks to the MidAmerica Basement Systems Crew. Martin W. of Hudson, IA was having issues with water still puddling in his basement even though he had a sump pump. Martin called in to MidAmerica Basement Systems to have an expert come and address his water issue. Upon inspection, Martin was told that he needed proper piping installed, so that water could be directed to the sump pump. MidAmerica Basement Systems simply proposed that they install WaterGuard, allowing for water to flow to the sump pump, leaving the basement dry.
Gary was having issues with water coming into his basement, but wasn’t sure where it was coming from. He contacted MidAmerica Basement Systems to have is issue inspected. During inspection, Wes Glasgow, design specialist, came to the conclusion that water was seeping in from the old foundation walls, and suggested the installation of CleanSpace. CleanSpace is a thick liner that provides a sturdy moisture barrier between the wall and rest of the basement. CleanSpace also acts as a water track, directing the moisture to Gary’s waterproofing system.
