Jean’s basement foundation was showing signs of a bowing wall. A large horizontal crack was starting to stretch from one end of the wall to the other. Experts at MidAmerica Basement Systems proposed the installation of a PowerBrace support system. PowerBraces offer a permanent solution to bowing walls. The I-beam system using the home’s wooden floor joist system to properly support the pressure exerted on the failing wall, while evenly distributing the weight of the home.
