In lovely De Witt, IA, a homeowner knew something wasn't adding up with their driveway—ok, literal cracks made it pretty clear. Mold and shifting slabs created some unwelcome drama up front. Enter MidAmerica Basement Systems to save the day!
Our System Design Specialist, Andrew Sagar, visited the home to evaluate the shifting concrete and map out a permanent stabilization plan.
Soon after, our production crew—led by Foreman Chris Allen and Markell—stepped in to execute the repairs. Using our trusty PolyLevel Concrete Leveling Solutions, Chris and Markell lifted and leveled those troublesome slabs with a powerful, high-density polyurethane foam injected right beneath the surface. For the finishing touch, they gave everything, even distant heirs of concrete joints, a durable NexusPro Cracked Concrete Repair makeover to permanently seal out water and prevent future erosion.
Thanks to Andrew's smart design and the expert craftsmanship of Chris and Markell, the driveway is perfectly smooth and stable. So as you admire the after sunshine glints bouncing off that smooth concrete in the photo.
The condition of this basement in Silvis was beginning to become a nuisance for the owners and so they decided to call on the experts at MidAmerica Basement Systems. The team installed a TripleSafe sump pump system that comes with 3 pumps in one. One of the pumps is a battery powered back-up pump in case of a power outage, an alarm to alert the owner of any problems, an airtight lid and more. The experts also installed WaterGuard that will redirect any wall leaks to the TripleSafe sump pump. Now this basement has fighting chance against leaks/floods!
A past customer came back to MidAmerica Basement Systems to correct some water damage in her basement, and prevent more water from getting in. She and service technician Gary Housenga decided that WaterGuard and CleanSpace would be the best combination. Foreman Justin Bailey and his team got to work installing the new WaterGuard sub floor drainage system.
Basement walls were stabilized with PowerBraces in Silvis, IL. The severity of the bow required cross beam support. Behind the PowerBraces is CleanSpace to keep the water out of the basement. The basement looks great, but more importantly, the walls are stable!
Carl recently contacted MidAmerica Basement Systems to have his bowing wall evaluated. During his inspection, it was noted that not one, but two basement walls were bowing inward and needed to be addressed to prevent future worsening. A 10 PowerBrace system was offered to stabilize the failing foundation. The galvanized steel I-Beam system prevents the PowerBraces from oxidizing and rusting over time, giving the foundation the permanent stabilization that is needed. The I-Beam system also offers an opportunity to straighten the wall back to its original position without damaging the wooden floor joist system. Carl now has stabilized walls and no longer worries of a failing foundation.
