Jennifer of Osco, IL called MidAmerica Basement Systems because she noticed water coming in through the floor and wall joints of her home, and she was also concerned because the radon levles in her home were more than 3x the recommended limit. She met with design specialist Clayton Spinler, who proposed a solution for her home. Foreman Bill Wilcox and his team installed the solution of CleanSpace, WaterGuard, a TripleSafe Sump Pump, and a radon mitigation system. Now, Jennifer's home is safe from radon and her basement is dry!
Kelli and John of East Dubuque, IL had radon test results come back at more than 7x greater than the EPAs safe level. After contacting MidAmerica Basement Systems, they had their radon mitigation system installed to protect the home from toxic radon gas.
In East Dubuque, IL, one homeowner was facing the discouraging combination of persistent water issues and rising radon concerns. The original state of the basement revealed tell-tale signs of dampness sneaking into the basement, which made the space feel more like a rainy day outdoors than a cozy home. We arrived with our comprehensive suite of professional solutions, including CleanSpace, a Premium Radon Mitigation System, SuperSump, WaterGuard, and IceGuard, to transform these basement woes into a definitive victory. The finished space now radiates a sense of dry triumph from every corner, ensuring the problem is contained and all environmental risks are successfully mitigated.
A homeowner in Dubuque, Iowa, struggled with persistent water intrusion in their basement that threatened both their living comfort and overall property value. With plans to sell the home in the near future, resolving the wet basement issue became an urgent priority. Unmanaged hydrostatic pressure forced groundwater through the wall-footing joints and stone masonry fractures, creating damp conditions, potential structural risks, and an unappealing environment for prospective buyers.
To eliminate water intrusion and maximize the home's market value, System Design Specialist Tim Rollet evaluated the property and engineered a complete waterproofing and vapor isolation system using WaterGuard® Interior Drainage, CleanSpace® Drainage Matting, and the CleanSpace® Vapor Barrier through MidAmerica Basement Systems.
Foreman Justin Maddox and crew member Devin S. arrived on-site to execute the installation. The team excavated along the interior perimeter footing and installed the WaterGuard sub-floor channel system, designed to capture seeping groundwater and direct it toward a sump pump discharge location. To address floor and wall seepage, the crew laid heavy-duty CleanSpace Drainage Matting along troublesome floor sections, creating a dimpled channel path that prevents water from pooling underneath.
Finally, Justin and Devin S. installed the 20-mil thick CleanSpace poly-reinforced liner across the interior walls, attaching it securely and tucking it straight into the WaterGuard drainage track. This airtight barrier stops moisture vapor transmission, channels wall leaks directly into the subterranean drainage system, and instantly transforms the dark, damp basement into a bright, clean, and dry space. The project successfully restored stability, improved indoor air quality, and gave the homeowner complete confidence as they prepared to put their home on the market.
The homeowners of this basement in Preston were anxious to remedy their constantly damp and wet basement so the team at MidAmerica Basement Systems was contacted. The team waterproofed the basement with CleanSpace, WaterGuard and a SuperSump pump. In the process, the team also waterproofed an entryway into the basement that was allowing for a lot of water seepage by repairing the cracked steps and installing TrenchDrain at the bottom of the entrance. The homeowners feel so much better about their basement because they have a space better prepared to stay dry.
