Homeowner Kelli has lived in her home for the last 20 years and has had water in for basement for just as long. For the last two years she has thought about getting the problem fixed. The water in her basement was coming in from all over and she feared mold and potentially the quality of her home. When she contacted MidAmerica Basement Systems she was interested in learning about all of her waterproofing options. When she met with Design Specialist Dan Garner he explained that the best option for her home was a full perimeter waterproofing system and a new sump pump.
The waterproofing system includes a full perimeter WaterGuard system and a TripleSafe. The WaterGuard is used to channel the water out of your home. The TripleSafe sump pump is a three-pump system that comes with a battery back up and a WaterWatch alarm. The battery back up is used to keep the sump pump running in case of power loss. The WaterWatch alarm is placed in the top of the sump pump and is used to alert you in case the water in the pump get to high.
CleanSpace is used to help a crawlspace with moisture issues.
Homeowner Ryan had recently purchased his home two weeks ago. The home was built in the 1980’s and has some water issues. Ryan was concerned about the home being unstable. The home has cracks in the wall where the water leaks in. The most important thing to Ryan is to make sure the foundation of his home is safe. He has had professional advice in the past about this problem but the company was not a good fit for him and the problem. The Helical Pier System from Foundation Supportworks will permanently stabilize your home. Rugged steel piers are mechanically “screwed” into the soil using small construction equipment or hand equipment. The piers are installed to appropriate depths and capacities, preventing any future settlement.
This homeowner had an old sump pump that was not keeping all the water out of her basement. We installed a SuperSump to help fix this problem.
John and Karen were concerned about the radon levels in their home, so they conducted a radon test. After receiving their results, their concern became a fear. They quickly contacted MidAmerica Basement Systems to have the air quality improved. All cracks were sealed to provide an effective pull from under the concrete foundation, and a radon mitigation system was installed. Now the radon gas is withdrawn from under the home’s foundation, leaving the radon levels safer for John and Karen to breathe.
