A homeowner in East Peoria, IL recently had her basement waterproofed with MidAmerica Basement Systems. As time went on the homeowner wanted to finish off their basement as well. They were not too sure what was the best flooring to put down that would correlate to the waterproofing system. Design Specialist, Troy was happy to come back out to give the homeowner the best recommendation to meet the homeowner's needs.
The answer was Elite Plank Flooring. This gives off the fabulous look of real wood without the hassle of it. Having wood installed within a basement is a no go, it can be damaged within seconds if water reaches it. Elite Plank Flooring contains no wood at all just the look of it. It will not be affected by moisture or water in any way possible. It comes in two stylish colors, Light Pecan, and Dark Walnut. It is designed in long modular planks that lock together. They are built with raised pegs on the bottom that keep them above the concrete flooring. This also allows the new flooring to breathe. The water cannot get caught underneath the flooring. If a leak would happen the flooring can be removed to be dried out and then be replaced like nothing ever happened!
Now the homeowner is able to enjoy their new, stylish flooring thanks to the MidAmerica Basement Systems Team. If you too are looking to have your basement flooring finished off, do not hesitate to reach out to MidAmerica Basement Systems. Rich H. of Tremont, IL called MidAmerica Basement Systems with interest in getting both of his crawlspaces encapsulated in a home he recently purchased. The home was built in 1978 with two crawlspaces on opposite ends of the basement. Rich met with design specialist Dan Garner. Dan recommended SilverGlo Insulation Panels, CleanSpace Drainage Matting and CleanSpace. The crawlspaces both look great! Here's one before and after!
David was having issues with water seeping in through the wall and floor joints of his basement and decided to reach out to MidAmerica Basement Systems. He was offered a waterproofing system that used WaterGuard and CleanSpace Liner. WaterGuard was installed along the perimeter of the basement to collect the seeping water along the joints. Due to the walls and floor being poured as a whole, weep holes were drilled into the walls to allow for water to come in, and CleanSpace Liner was installed over top the holes. CleanSpace acts a moisture barrier, aiding in the collecting of water to redirect the water to the WaterGuard. Water now properly flows towards the sump pump to be discharged out to the basement, leaking the area dry.
Rock Falls homeowners, Catherine and Mike, called MidAmerica Basement Systems after finding water was coming in through their floor and wall joints in their basement. They met with design specialist Mac McDaniel, who proposed a custom solution for them. With WaterGuard, CleanSpace Wall, and a TripleSafe Sump Pump, their basement will be dry for many years to come!
Homeowner’s concrete slab in the garage was extremely cracked and started to slope. MidAmerica Basement Systems experts used PolyLevel and Nexus Pro to repair the crack and level the slope. PolyLevel is a high-density foam which was used to raise the slope to its original state. Nexus Pro is used to fill in cracks on concrete slabs so water does not go into it. If water gets into the cracks, the soil will change and gain more cracks and uneven concrete slabs.
