Check out this concrete dilemma we recently tackled in Waterloo, IA! As you can imagine, uneven slabs are trip hazards just waiting to happen. In the "before" photo, you can see exactly where the faulty angle was calling for some serious attention.
To fix it, System Design Specialist Shawn Conaway inspected the damage and mapped out the perfect repair plan. Then, Foreman Ricky Sigala and his trusty crew stepped in to bring that plan to life. They deployed our favorite power duo: PolyLevel and NexusPro. These aren't just fancy product names—they are absolute lifesavers when it comes to lifting uneven concrete, eliminating trip hazards, and providing a rock-solid, stable foundation.

In Waterloo, IA, a homeowner faced an uneven garage entrance that caused a vehicle spoiler issue due to a sudden, severe drop-off, a frustrating parking problem analyzed by System Design Specialist Shawn Conaway and expertly repaired by Foreman Justin Maddox and his crew member Devin S. To eliminate this hazard, our production team employed the PolyLevel® system, effectively stabilizing and raising the affected concrete slab back into alignment with the garage lip. By injecting high-strength polyurethane foam beneath the surface, as shown in the after photo, we filled the hidden voids and restored a perfectly level surface that functions flawlessly for low-clearance vehicles. Additionally, NexusPro® joint sealant was applied to tightly seal the joints against water damage and prevent future soil erosion, ensuring this robust solution met the homeowner's needs efficiently and permanently.
Nada was having issues with the stairs leading into her home, they had sunken and sloped, making it unlevel to enter. She had heard of the new injection technology from MidAmerica Basement System called PolyLevel. PolyLevel is similar to mud jacking, but offers many more advantages. The lightweight polyurethane material effortlessly lifts and levels concrete, using small injection holes. The quick dry time allow for a precise lift, leveling the stairs in minutes. Large cracks and gaps between concrete slabs allows for water to seep in between, causing the ground underneath to wash-out. Wash-outs than can lead to sinking and even more cracked concrete, leaving tripping hazards. Roger and Bonnie recently had their basement waterproofed due to the excess amounts of water that would collect when it rained. After the basement was waterproofed, the made the decision to finish the area for an extra room for entertaining their guests and reached out to MidAmerica Basement Systems once again. New EverLast Windows were installed to help bring in more natural light and to replace the old, cracked, dingy windows. EverLast Wall Panels were installed to provide a beautiful finished looked with insulation. The EverLast Wall Panels are made of inorganic, vinyl cover, to prevent damage from moisture and water.
