You can see here that our crew dug around the home to prep for pier installation and then installed our Push Pier system to correct this home's foundation settlement. They then replaced the the earth around the home.
Hersh was concerned about the water that water coming in through the basement wall, and then realized it was because of a wall bowing. He contacted MidAmerica Basement Systems to permanently stop his walls from worsening. During his evaluation, Chris offered him the solution of a PowerBrace system. PowerBraces use the wooden floor joist system of your home to properly support the pressure exhorted against the failing wall, without damaging the rest of the home. The patented PowerBrace system also allows for the I-Beams to be tightened over time, which can increase the chances of straightening the walls back to normal in time.
The basement walls of this Peru, IL, home were in a state of severe distress, bowing inward under the relentless hydrostatic pressure of the surrounding soil. Large horizontal cracks and frowning masonry indicated that the structure was nearing a critical failure point, leaving the homeowner with constant anxiety over a potential cave-in. These unsightly worry lines were more than just a cosmetic issue; they were a clear warning sign that the home’s very foundation was losing its battle against the elements.
Our team transformed the failing space into a model of structural integrity using the GeoLock Wall Anchor and PowerBrace systems. The formerly leaning walls are now standing tall and true, permanently braced against external pressure and secured for the long haul. With the structural threat neutralized, the wall woes have vanished, replaced by a solid, secure basement and a very relieved homeowner who can finally enjoy peace of mind.
Ever played an unplanned tango with an uneven basement floor? Well, as you can see in the "before" photo, this home in Peru, IL was getting all too familiar with that risky dance.
To prevent further hazards and worsening conditions, our System Design Specialist, Tim Rollet, stepped in to thoroughly assess the space and map out a permanent leveling solution.
Fast-forward to project day, and our expert crew—led by Foreman Ricky Sigala and Jaylen—stepped in with our trusty PolyLevel® Concrete Leveling Solutions to lift and level those rebellious slabs. Using just tiny, pea-sized holes, they injected our high-density polyurethane foam to raise the concrete back into perfect alignment, banishing discomfort for good!
To finish the job, Ricky and Jaylen applied our high-performance NexusPro® Cracked Concrete Repair joint sealant. Now, the homeowner can say goodbye to any water mischief sneaking in under the slabs. Thanks to Tim's precise plan and the crew's hard work, the problem is completely solved, ensuring a safer step for all!
As you can see in the before photo, this Lostant, IL homeowner was facing a safety concern without a proper exit point in their basement. They turned to us for a solution and, through the installation of a Rockwell egress window, we were able to transform their basement into a safer, more functional space. Notice in the after photo how the new egress window provides a clear, unobstructed exit path, ensuring safety in case of an emergency. Additionally, the larger size of the Rockwell window allows for significantly more natural light and ventilation, improving the overall comfort and livability of the basement. Now, their basement is not only a safer place for everyone but also a more enjoyable space to be in, all thanks to the installation of a Rockwell egress window.
