Sunken slabs can produce unsafe walking areas, and can be simply fixed with PolyLevel. MidAmerica Basement Systems uses a polyurethane based material that fills in voids under concrete, that accurately lifts and levels the slabs. PolyLevel reacts to precisely lift the slabs without under- or over-lifting, offering the best solution. It also provides a permanent stable solution, preventing the concrete from sinking again.
In Center Point, IA, a homeowner was troubled by sagging, unsteady floors on their main level. Seeking a permanent fix, they turned to us. As showcased here, or solution was the installation of SmartJacks in the basement, a strategic choice even though the visible issues were upstairs. Notice in the after photo how precisely and effectively the SmartJacks were installed to restore stability and confidence in the home's structure. This is just another example of living up to our mission of delivering both a remarkable customer experience and a long-lasting solution to a critical problem.
Ever walk outside and discover your front porch is gearing up for a wobbly dance party? Our homeowner in Center Point, IA, was ready to trade those tumbles for something a little smoother.
Before the fix, that porch was a qualified trip champion—seriously, not fun! Our design specialist, Shawn Conaway, stepped in to map out the perfect recovery plan, and then Justin Maddox and his crew took over the heavy lifting.
Using our trusty PolyLevel and NexusPro, Justin leveled things out to picture-perfect straight. That romantic wobble is officially a thing of the past. Now, you might just find their guests lingering a little too long admiring the seamless concrete.
From wavy to steadily sturdy? Just another day at the office for Shawn, Justin, and the rest of us at MidAmerica Basement Systems!
Warren F. of Oelwein, IA decided he wanted to get his basement finished. He called MidAmerica Basement Systems for a free estimate, and met with design specialist Joe Sarb. Joe and Warren worked together and designed a finished basement system, and Warren picked from many beautiful flooring options and other materials. In order to get the finishes added to the basement, though, the basement first needed to be waterproofed with a full perimeter WaterGuard. These pictures show before and after the WaterGuard is installed. Once the concrete dries, you'll never even know WaterGuard was installed!
Oelwein homeowner, Warren F., wanted to add a basement bedroom and an entertaining room to his partially finished basement. He needed to get the rest of the basement finished, so after looking at the Total Basement Finishing line online, he decided to call the experts at MidAmerica Basement Systems.
He met with design specialist Joe Sarb who helped Warren design the basement from top to bottom, hide nasty duct work, and make sure that the basement stays dry and won't be damaged by water. The floors, walls, and ceiling are all made of waterproof, mold-resistant, inorganic materials - and they look really nice!
