Debbie called MidAmerica Basement Systems to talk about basement waterproofing and turning a passive radon mitigation system active. She met with a design specialist to get her free estimate. The waterproofing system was installed, along with a domed sump pump cover to trap radon, preventing it from entering the interior of the house. A new exit system was installed in the sump pump as well, ensuring radon toxins and water are not released.
Katie R. of Iowa City was having many issues with her sump pump system. She had the pump replaced the first time it failed and the newer one also failed. She was tired of unreliable products offered by her plumber and made the call to the specialists at MidAmerica Basement Systems. Katie was suggested she have a TripleSafe Sump installed to prevent a failing system in her basement. The TripleSafe Sump offers three pumps to ensure your basement stays dry, even during power outages.
Fran of Iowa City was having issues with moisture entering her crawlspace. She called MidAmerica Basement Systems to have her basement encapsulated. It was proposed that she had CleanSpace, SilverGlo , and SaniDry CX installed in her crawlspace to address the moisture issue. CleanSpace acts as a moisture barrier against the exposed ground, and seals off the moisture from entering the area. SilverGlo was installed to help insulate the crawlspace, while a SaniDry CX dehumidifier retracts any extra moisture in the air.
Uneven concrete can pose safety hazards to pedestrians of all ages. With PolyLevel injections offered by MidAmerica Basement Systems, the hassle of concrete leveling is made simple. PolyLevel is a lightweight, quick-drying, solution for leveling sinking concrete. Poly ports, roughly 5/8-inch in size, allow for the polyurethane to be injected under the concrete slabs, filling the voids, and lifting and leveling them back to proper elevations. The lightweight foam offers less pressure on the ground, providing a more permanent solution over other techniques. The quick dry time of PolyLevel also allows for accessibility to the area the same day as injections.
Drywall is made of organic materials, making it easy to absorb and retain water, leaving a large mess and problem. Due to the super absorbent material, leaks can go unnoticed until it is too late. Once a small leak is discovered, chances are the “small” leak is a large leak that have ruined large sections of the wall. Installing a waterproofing system is the first step to fixing the basement. To repair the damaged and ruined walls, EverLast Wall Panels are highly suggested. EverLast Wall Panels are made of inorganic materials, preventing moisture damage, mold, and mildew growth. The high density, closed-cell foam insulation provides a durable finish.
