Muscatine Concrete Remediation Sinking Walkway Panels Realigned in Hours

Notice in the before photo, the uneven and sinking slabs created trip hazards and compromised safety for this Muscatine, IA homeowner. Left unchecked, unsealed control joints and subterranean void formation would have led to worsening structural deflection and potential panel cracking. Following an initial site evaluation by System Design Specialist Ryan Nolen, Foreman Justin Maddox Jr. and crew member Brantly arrived on site to deliver a targeted remediation.

Our team restored stability to the property using advanced geopolymer injection and elastomeric sealing technologies. The crew expertly injected high-density PolyLevel® geopolymer foam beneath the sunken sections to fill subterranean voids, compact surrounding loose subgrade, and gently lift each slab back to a flush, level alignment.

To ensure long-term durability, the team prepped and applied NexusPro® joint sealant across all joints and fissures. This flexible silicone formulation locks out water penetration, resisting extreme thermal expansion and Midwestern freeze-thaw cycles. As shown in the after photo, the concrete surface is now even, securely sealed, and visually revitalized.
