Concrete Repair in Geneseo, IL
Challenge
A homeowner in Geneseo, IL, noticed significant settling in their concrete driveway. Over time, sections of the slab had begun to sink and tilt, creating unsightly gaps and uneven surfaces. Left unaddressed, these cracks act as conduits for water, leading to further soil erosion and worsening the settlement. Beyond the diminished curb appeal, the uneven concrete posed a persistent tripping hazard for the family and guests.
Solution
Our production team implemented a two-stage restoration process designed for durability and minimal disruption:
Step 1: PolyLevel® Injection The team drilled small, penny-sized holes into the affected slabs. We then injected PolyLevel®, a high-density expanding polyurethane foam. As the foam expanded, it filled the voids beneath the concrete, providing a powerful, lightweight lift that brought the driveway back to a level plane. Unlike traditional mudjacking, PolyLevel® is waterproof and will not wash away over time.
Step 2: NexusPro® Joint Sealing Once the slabs were stabilized and leveled, we applied NexusPro® sealant to all cracks and control joints. This specialized silicone-based sealant is engineered to withstand UV rays and extreme temperature fluctuations without cracking or peeling, effectively "waterproofing" the driveway’s surface.
