Returning to Reynolds for Total Driveway Restoration
Challenge
A loyal homeowner in the charming town of Reynolds, IL, noticed that additional sections of their concrete driveway had begun to sink—a frequent issue caused by unstable Midwest soils. Having previously trusted MidAmerica Basement Systems for prior concrete work, they knew exactly who to call before the uneven slabs could cause vehicle damage or create a trip hazard.
Our Customer Care Specialist quickly scheduled a visit for System Design Specialist Chris Hebbel. Upon inspection, Chris confirmed that the soil beneath the driveway had washed away and settled, leaving the heavy concrete slabs unsupported. To permanently stabilize the driveway and prevent future water damage, he designed a comprehensive plan utilizing a dynamic duo: PolyLevel and NexusPro.
Solution
On appointment day, Foreman Chris Allen and his crew member, Markell, arrived on-site to execute the plan.
- PolyLevel Injection: The crew masterfully drilled small, pea-sized holes into the sunken slabs. They injected our high-density PolyLevel polyurethane foam beneath the concrete. As the foam expanded, it filled the voids and accurately lifted the driveway back to level ground.
- NexusPro Joint Sealing: To protect the newly leveled driveway from the elements, the team applied NexusPro joint sealant. This durable, weather-resistant sealant fills the joints and cracks, locking out moisture and preventing sneaky water from eroding the soil beneath the slab again.
Thanks to the seamless teamwork of Chris Hebbel, Chris Allen, and Markell, the downbeat driveway was fully restored, stabilized, and ready for daily use. The homeowners waved goodbye to bumpy concrete and welcomed a smooth, beautiful entryway, securing another successful MidAmerica Basement Systems experience.
