Restoring Safety and Stability in Wedron, IL
Challenge
The project began when a Wedron homeowner reported severely uneven concrete slabs along their main walkway—affectionately dubbed the "Wonky Sidewalk." The uneven surface had created a significant tripping hazard and a liability on the property.
Solution
The production team implemented a targeted, two-step remediation strategy designed for immediate leveling and long-term protection:
Step 1: PolyLevel® Injection To lift and stabilize the slabs, high-strength polyurethane foam was injected through small, non-invasive access holes. The material expanded beneath the surface with surgical precision, successfully restoring the concrete to its original, level plane.
Step 2: NexusPro® Joint Sealant To protect the repair, a premium weatherproof sealant was applied to all joints. This barrier prevents water infiltration, protecting the underlying soil from future erosion and safeguarding the walkway against subsequent settling.
