Michael’s garage floor had many cracks in them, causing many tripping hazards. He recently had a radon mitigation system installed with MidAmerica Basement Systems and reached out again to have his concrete slab addressed. It was noted that some areas had sunken, causing the cracking throughout the whole garage. To level and stabilize the sunken areas, PolyLevel was injected into the slab. The expansion of the PolyLevel filled the voids, and lifting the slab back to level. After PolyLevel, NexusPro Joint Sealant was applied to all the cracks, sealing them from producing larger cracks and shifts.
Homeowners David and Pamela were concerned about their bowing wall, when they called MidAmerica Basement systems they knew they would be given the best option for their home. When radon gas gets into your lungs it damages lung tissue and can lead to lung cancer over time. Our radon system protects your home from that gas and adds value to your home as well. The radon systems includes a mounting plate, junction box, and protective cover which hold the radon fan and electrical wiring outside of the home effectively riding your home of this harmful gas.
Terry wanted his space to be cleared of debris and he wanted the space to be insulated. The MidAmerica Basement Systems team did all the above and more!
The crawl space before is cold, dark, uncomfortable, and layered with debris. The team cleaned the space by removing all of the debris and then they insulated the walls with SilverGlo. SilverGlo is a foil backed foam insulation that is infused with graphite. The SilverGlo is specially designed to keep heat from escaping the space, and outside air from entering making the space warm and saving the homeowner a bundle on utility bills.
We then installed drainage matting. The drainage matting has dimples allowing rising ground water to flow underneath the CleanSpace liner. The space is then fitted with CleanSpace liner. CleanSpace finishes the sealing process with a thick, durable, flexible plastic that has an antimicrobial additive making it mold resistant. All of the materials used are inorganic meaning that it is least likely to deteriorate and/or become a yummy meal for mold.
The homeowner now has a space that is clean, healthy, and comfortable while saving him money and headaches!
These homeowners in East Moline were noticing repeated water in their basement.
