The Powerbrace system is a beam placed against a foundation wall and is bolted to the floor slab and the floor above. This will keep the forces between the two equal. This will help permanently stabilize the wall from bowing and can be tightened over time to help further straighten the wall. The brace is made of zinc, this means the system will not rust or weaken over time.

Crewmen laid down CleanSpace Drainage Matting on the dirt ground to collect any moisture. SilverGlo was installed around the walls of the crawlspace, providing an insulation layer, making the crawlspace more energy efficient. CleanSpace Liner was then placed overtop the drainage matting and insulation, completing the crawlspace encapsulation.

Soon after giving them a call, an appointment was set up with Adao Natario to come evaluate the basement. Adao decided the best solution for this specific water problem was to install a full perimeter WaterGuard system, a SuperSump pumping system, and CleanSpace walling. Terry is the homeowner of these TWO crawl spaces in East Moline and wanted them both cleaned up and insulated. Terry called the MidAmerica Basement Systems team and the team sent expert Mac McDaniel in to inspect the spaces. Terry agreed to the game plan and the team sent out lead foreman Justin Bailey to head the project.

The first crawl space is the larger of the two. The team cleared out all the debris and then laid out CleanSpace Drainage Matting. The drainage system is a dimpled polyethylene membrane material that allows water to flow underneath the CleanSpace liner. The team installed SilverGlo on the walls which is a foil backed foam insulating material. The SilverGlo is impregnated with graphite, which reduces heat from escaping the space. SilverGlo is inorganic making it unlikely to deteriorate. The space was sealed with CleanSpace liner wit is a 20 mil thick plastic liner that has multiple layers of plastics with differentiating flexibility making it resistant to tears and punctures. CleanSpace is an inorganic material that also has an antimicrobial additive called UnltraFresh which prevents mold growth on the liner. The second crawl space is smaller and was fitted with the CleanSpace liner as well. MidAmerica Basement Systems is happy to have provided Terry with two clean, comfortable, and insulated crawl spaces!
