Pesky water invasions were creating quite the splash in this Moline, IL basement. But fear not! Our team transformed that damp chaos into dry comfort.
System Design Specialist Dillon Heard mapped out the perfect game plan, while Foreman Jacob Quinn and his crew, Caleb and Val, executed it flawlessly. By installing CleanSpace, a SaniDry Sedona, a TripleSafe Sump Pump, and WaterGuard, they put together a waterproofing posture so solid it might even win a posture pageant!
Now, the basement stands completely devoid of water drama. At MidAmerica Basement Systems, we always put the customer first—delivering effectiveness with a touch of light-hearted charm.
The homeowner of this basement built in the 1920's was done with constant dampness and smells in their basement so they called the professionals at MidAmerica Basement Systems. The team installed CleanSpace liner, WaterGuard perimeter drainage system and SuperSUmp pump. Finally this homeowner has a dry basement!
Facing a soggy situation in Galesburg, IL, with water seeping through their cinder block walls, a homeowner knew they needed help fast. Turning to us, their challenges were met with reliable solutions. As you can see in the before and after photos, we transformed a waterlogged space into a dry, comfortable area. By expertly installing a TripleSafe Sump Pump, WaterGuard, and CleanSpace, we ensured peace of mind with waterproofing that lasts, highlighting our commitment to exceptional service and enduring results.
A Galesburg family was prepping to sell their home, but an "indoor pond" in the basement was standing in the way. Michael Chezum inspected the site and found foundation seepage and high humidity fueling mold growth. The space was damp, risky, and definitely not market-ready.
Michael designed a custom plan, and Foreman Jacob Quinn led the production team to bring it to life. Jacob’s crew installed:
A once-soggy basement is now a bright, dry, and healthy space.
A residential property in Orion, IL, presented with a critical combination of structural wall compromise and severe subterranean moisture infiltration following localized winter weather cycles. System Design Specialist Jamie Cox performed a rigorous forensic evaluation of the below-grade envelope, diagnosing active groundwater transmission driven by hydrostatic pressure at the floor-wall cold joints, alongside advanced lateral wall deflection. To permanently arrest the inward structural movement, evacuate the liquid water, and stabilize the ambient indoor environment, Jamie engineered an integrated remediation layout combining sub-floor hydrodynamic management with high-tensile structural reinforcement.
Structural Repair Foreman Jose Ruiz and his technician, Scott, mobilized to execute the precision deployment of the multi-tiered system. The team began by performing a mechanical breaching of the concrete floor slab perimeter to install the WaterGuard® Below-Floor Drain System, positioning the specialized piping profile directly on top of the concrete footing to safely isolate it from sediment-clogging mud zones while capturing weeping moisture. This drainage network was sloped to discharge directly into a high-capacity TripleSafe™ Sump Pump System, which establishes complete mechanical redundancy via a primary AC pump, a secondary high-output AC pump for peak surge events, and a third DC-powered battery backup pump to sustain operational continuity during localized power grid failures. To stabilize ambient air quality and lower relative humidity below the 50% threshold required to suppress mold germination, Jose and Scott installed the high-efficiency, commercial-grade SaniDry Sedona™ Dehumidifier.
To address the structural wall failure, the crew applied advanced aerospace technology to the masonry using the CarbonArmor® Wall Reinforcement System. Jose and Scott prepped the deflecting foundation wall surfaces and utilized high-strength epoxy resin to bond flexible carbon fiber fabric straps directly to the concrete. This system utilizes carbon fiber that is ten times stronger than steel in tension, immediately stabilizing the bowing walls and permanently neutralizing the lateral soil pressures pushing against the structure. Following a meticulous site cleanup and a flush-pour concrete restoration over the perimeter drainage line, the technical intervention by MidAmerica Basement Systems successfully restored absolute structural integrity and permanent environmental control to the property.
